The Institute of Advertising celebrated the Day of graphic designer
Every year on September 9th CIS celebrate graphic designer day. Unofficial festival was founded in 2005 on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Vladimir Chaika - the most prominent graphic designer, winner of dozens of international and domestic competitions.
This year students of the Institute of Advertising joined the celebrations. The institute organized an exhibition of diploma graduates and organized excursion into the history of graphic design from ancient times to the present.
Holiday opened the Dean of the Institute of Advertising, political science professor Svetlana Boyko.
Deputy dean of educational work, Ph.D., Associate Professor Svetlana Merkulova told the audience about the development and design history. Svetlana also noted the basic design trends this year, including: a retro modern, material design, bright color palette, flat design, cursive graphics and animation.
The exhibition presents the thesis, in which students could see all the directions that study during the year: it's corporate identity and typography, layout and computer graphics, and web design and advertising projects.
«I hope that all these projects, what you see today at the exhibition will inspire you to design exploits and then we will have interesting pieces of art! "- said Svetlana Merkulova.
