In memory of the dead liquidators of the Chernobyl accident
April 26 marked the 31st anniversary of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident.
On this significant day, flowers were brought to the memorial sign from the students of the Danube branch of the IAPM, who together with the director Professor T. R. Gumennikova paid tribute to those who sacrificed their lives, saving Ukraine.
In memory of this date in Izmail, a citywide meeting with the participation of the Mayor of Andrei Abramchenko, his deputy Sergei Batkilin, the heads of the district, representatives of the clergy and the public, employees of the city's budgetary institutions, city council deputies, students and schoolchildren took place at the memorial sign to the liquidators of the Chernobyl disaster.
A rally was held in memory of those killed during the explosion at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, which was conducted by the vicar of the Odessa diocese, bishop of Belgorod, governor of the St. Constantine-Elenin Monastery Father Sergei.
