Ukraine! You are my prayer,

You are my age reckoning ...

A fierce battle rattles over the world,

                                         For your life, your rights!

                                                                            Vasily Simonenko

The centuries-old history of the Ukrainian people is full of constant struggle for freedom and statehood. The desire to remember the most vivid pages of competitions for independence, to honor the memory of the heroes who gave their lives for our right to live in the country, was gathered in the conference hall of IAPM by the students of the Academy and the Economic and Law College at IAPM.

The guest of the event was Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine, member of the All-Ukrainian Society "Prosvita" them. Taras Shevchenko and the Union of Officers of Ukraine, Elder of the Ukrainian Cossacks, Honorary Member of the Aerospace Academy of Ukraine, author of the books "Ukraine Cossack State", "Battle of Berestechko", "Konotop Battle", "Ukraine: From Independence to Independence", "Insurgent Family" many others Mikhail Panteleimonovich Sopivnyk.

Speaking to the student youth, Mikhail Panteleimonovich focused on the extremely important historical stages of Ukraine's gaining statehood. In particular, the great political and historical significance of the signing of the Act of Unification of the Ukrainian People's Republic and the Western Ukrainian People's Republic with an analysis of the reasons why the desire to live in the united state of the west and east in 1919 was not realized. He reminded the audience of the tragic fate of the young men who, in the battle of Kruty, executed the command of the command and stopped the rapid attack of the enemy, which enabled the Ukrainian delegation to conclude a Berestey peace treaty that saved the young Ukrainian statehood. On the example of his fellow villagers and his own family, Associate Mikhail Panteleymonovich revealed the history of the UPA's creation and struggle.

Mr Michael concluded his reminiscences on January 22, 1990, the day when one of the largest mass events in Central and Eastern Europe took place, the "living chain", as a symbol of the unity of Eastern and Western lands.

While recounting historical events, Mikhail Panteleimonovich quoted his own poems, dedicated to both the heroes of Krut and the courageous warriors who are now defending the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

To commemorate the meeting, Mr. Michael also donated several editions to the IAPM International Library Information Center.
