Visitors to the museum saw materials that represent various spheres of city life: manufacturing, trade, education, science, art, religion, war, and so on. Among the exhibits that interested students were archaeological monuments of Kievan Rus' period, the symbol of municipal government - a bas-relief of Archangel Michael, personal belongings of teachers and college graduates P. Galagan, actress Maria Zankovetska, paintings of M. Prahova, Murashko, V. Kotarbinski G. Svetlitsky, Shishkov, materials of the famous O. Antonov aircraft, world-famous opera singer E. Miroshnichenko, outstanding actor B. Stupka, etc.
