The lecture was devoted to the importance of Mental Health, where the lecturer outlined the main points:
- about 33% of Ukrainians will face mental health problems throughout their lives, including children and adolescents;
- mental health is determined not only by the absence of symptoms, but also by the ability to cope with stress and enjoy life;
- it is important to recognize the signs of problems in time, as early intervention makes it easier to overcome them;
- self-stigma, which arises from negative beliefs about oneself, can prevent people from seeking help;
- Many people can cope with stress on their own, but if symptoms persist, they should seek professional help;
- Signs that require professional help include social isolation, sleep, eating, intrusive thoughts, and feelings of hopelessness.
If these symptoms last for more than two weeks, you should see a doctor.
Remember that your mental health is important and you have the right to seek help.
