12 April 2016 15:35

Practical exercises are not only informative, but also very exciting and interesting. So, within the framework of practical training, students and teachers of Economics and Law College at IAPM traveled to Odessa from 8 to 11 April. During the trip students and teachers have visited a lot of different places and excursions.

"Secrets of Odessa catacombs"

Extreme, mysterious and mystical tour took place in the Odessa catacombs. Students learned that Ukrainian catacombs are the longest and most mysterious man-made caves in the world. Thus, compared with the Rome (500 km) and Paris (about 300 km), Odessa catacombs extend to 2.5 thousand kilometers. On excursions teachers and students learned that the stone "safes" are shrouded in legends and myths. The most memorable was the story of a captain, who hid in the catacombs a ship's model made of pure gold - the "Golden brigantine" before going to the Great Patriotic War. He received this gift from the Portuguese Government for the salvage of their vessel. The captain had not returned from the war, and the golden ship haven't been found yet.

«Kriminal Odessa»

A walking tour of "Criminal Odessa" impressed students as well. It has been known that in the hero-city Odessa always lived talented people. But talent is not always noble. People visited the prison walls of the castle in Moldavanka, the house of Mishka Japonchik on Little Arnaut, where, according to Ostap Bender, they shared all the smuggling in the city of Odessa.

Day of liberation of Odessa and a parade of orchestras

Traveling to Odessa, students and teachers of the ECL become participants of the festival dedicated to the Day of Liberation of Odessa and saw bands parade on the Promenade.

Smuggling, chocolate and interesting science

In spare time students visited the most interesting museums of the city. For instance, in smuggling the museum tourists learned what tricks smugglers perform to get prohibited goods across the border.

Chocolate Museum struck with unusual sculptures and paintings of sweets.

Students and teachers sas how it is possible to combine modern science and entertainment in one piece at the Museum of entertaining science.
