Our Academy has joined it this year. - Says the chairman of the Student Council of AIAPM Dmitry Zubritskiy. - It's not just a day when all dress in embroideries, it's a celebration of Ukrainian values and their popularization among young people".

Academy dazzled with embroideries of white and black colors with various ornaments. People in national clothes could be found on the lectures, in the library and at conferences.

"The main secret of embroidery that embroiderer-woman convey love, warm wishes, happiness, well-being, happy years in it. My grandmother told me that in the old days, during the work an embroiderer repeatedly prayed or spoke a certain spell over the shirt to the winds which beared evil and did not bring it to an owner of embroidery. In fact, I still believe that only with these conditions embroidery will be a talisman", - says the student of 2nd course of Averroes Ukrainian-Arab Institute of International Relations and Linguistics  Natalia Kolomeiko.

According to the organizers of the campaign "Dress up an embroidery in IAPM" its main goal is preservation of Ukrainian values, expression of their national citizenship, promotion of education and cultural enrichment of spiritual consciousness of young people.

"Embroidery adorned almost everything: clothes, tablecloths, towels, pillowcases and sheets. But there are not only ornaments on the embroidery patterns, but also some amulets, a certain protection against evil and diseases. In our family there was a tradition to wear such shirts for the holidays. Therefore, there is a lot of such black-and-white photos in my family album. I believe that the tradition of wearing embroidered shirts needs to revive", - said the Head of extracurricular activities of IAPM Valentina Slisarenko.
