Results of volunteering in Odessa IAPM Institute
In Odessa IAPM Institute works 4 scientific student clubs - "Themis", "M: ANGO», «ACADEMIA» and "Psyheya". Student scientific psychological club "Psiheya" provides a great volunteer activity. Thus, in 2015 it was carried out volunteer psychological counseling for family members of immigrants from East Ukraine to ensure their psychological security, support and development in the Odessa region.
Also, Kvitchel game was held. Children ofrom Odessa created Flower of a man virtues, which became a symbol of peace and united many children in promoting peace-building. Club "Psyheya" had this game in a summer camp OZSH number 44 in Odesa Camp "Sun", the center for immigrants. Club took part in the presentation of Volunteer psychological services (UPU APPOO) - work with children and parents at the headquarters of humanitarian assistance to immigrants, Club members were on duty there.
Club members participated in the organization of Festival "Friendship" for children of immigrants from Luhansk and Donetsk regions. The purpose of the festival is to combine family, relieve stress, establish positive thinking, promote tolerance, heat relationship, friendship. Festival Activities in the Shevchenko Park was visited by 108 immigrants who settled in the Odessa region: in Kuyalnyk, in Serhiyivtsi, in Odessa. There were children from Donetsk, Lugansk, Gorlovka, Alchevsk, Mariupol, Yenakiyevo and other cities. Kids and parents together with volunteers took part in colorful game, in sports competitions, relay races, they sang, painted in art studio, created collages on asphalt. All participants of colored paper made PEACE FLOWERS KVITCHEL, improvised and decorated garden of 108 colors.
Students Club held a training for teenagers "Avatar. The four elements "(Fire, Earth, Water and Air): bodily practices, active imagination, emotional self-regulation, art-mind and group picture. There were also cotton candy, jumping on a trampoline, tunnels, colorful parachutes, and most importantly - good mood, positive and smiles of children!
Often our volunteers psychologists go to Sergeevka village, Belgorod-Dniester district of Odessa region, particularly in the sanatorium "Senetatya" where more than one year are migrants from eastern Ukraine, disabled children, children of different social categories under the age of 1.5 years and older - only 120 children. Many are mentally affected. The main complaints of adult immigrants - anxiety, insecurity, depression. But it's nice that they operate a public asset, is self-organization.
September 19, 2015 in the sanatorium "Sperantsa" in Sergeevka was holiday "We are magicians of their world." Children and parents-immigrants eagerly waited for volunteers. The holiday began with the quest-game KVITCHEL in support of peace, children gave colorful flowers to Odessa schoolchildren, because only together we can create a culture of peace!
Students Club "Psyche" met with the chief psychologist and worked with children with disabilities. The sanatorium "Kuyalnyk", where immigrants live, handed notebooks, stationery, books, games, videos, shoes, clothing, household items, medicines. Last year, the same action was performed by Club members of "Themis" for immigrants, family members of the sailors from the Crimea, who lived in the sanatorium "Kuyalnyk."
Together with other psychologists, Odesa Club members of "Psheya" opened a collection point for humanitarian assistance to immigrants, students on Sadovaya str. 3, Suite 006.
In autumn 2015 the Club supervisor - Candidate of Psychological Sciences Repnova Tatiana was awarded with honored award of Mayor G. Trukhanov for significant charitable and volunteer activities.
Thanks to everyone who helps us in our volunteer activities, we will continue in 2016.
