Interregional Academy of Personnel Management

October 27th the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management held a lecture-discussion on "The realities of political life of contemporary Ukrainian society" with Ukrainian deputy of Mykhailo Golovko.

Mykhailo Golovko is a public and political figure, deputy of Ukraine of the 7th and 8th convocations, member of the Supreme Council of Ukraine for tax and customs policy, the head of the regional public organization "Sober Ternopil ', member of the Secretary of the " Sober Ukraine " Deputy in Ternopil city Council of  "Svoboda" (since 2006), deputy head of the Ternopil regional organization of "Svoboda" (from 2011).

Mykhailo Golovko got his education in IAPM, graduating in 2013 study in "law". So at the beginning of the meeting the deputy said:

"Interregional Academy of Personnel is my mother, because I received my second education in the Academy."

Mykhailo said that he was interested in politics from the young years, watching the news together with grandfather. And the first steps in political sphere has been made by the student years:

"In 2002, when I was a student, I visited Italy. This trip changed my life and I realized that politics - this is my vocation, and  we should change the country. "

During the lecture-discussion deputy noted that today Ukraine is in a "darkest night before the dawn", and the transition is temporary but significant:

"To be indifferent in events in Ukraine is a crime for a citizen of our country. Always have to start with yourself! A lot of things depends on us. Ukraine is strong, because we are considered to be a geopolitical player. From the result, what will happen to Ukraine will depend further developments in the world. "

Deputy also noted that Ukrainians are independent, strong and courageous nation. And for further progress people should be united by the idea of Ukrainian statehood. Holovko paid attention to the the subject of the Ukrainian economy, noting that the main problem today is that the economy is raw. The politician finds help in the creation of its own production and thus creating new jobs, which greatly affect the issue of Ukrainian unemployment.

At a meeting in the Academy, students and teachers put a lot of questions to Mykhailo. Among them is an attitude of politician to the bill raising wages for deputies. Golovko said that did not vote for this budget, arguing that the raise of wages during the war in the country in any case is impossible. Talking about increasing wages for citizens, the politician said of the low probability of this bill, because it is needed new revenue. Mykhailo also answered the question of subsidies and as a member of the Supreme Council of Ukraine on Taxation and Customs Policy, spoke about the current problems of taxation. The deputy said that the VAT puts the country to a standstill. And the solution is the elimination of VAT and the introduction of sales tax.

At the end of the meeting the Rector of IAPM Mykola Kurko thanked for an interesting conversation and presented the guest a book which is published by IAPM.
