Results of IAPM Checkers Championship among students, workers, employees and members of their families
The organizers of the competition were the Department of Physical Culture and Sports and the Department of extracurricular activities at IAPM.
Participation in the championship was attended by representatives of all the institutions of the President of the University and the College of Economics and Law at the AIDP.
Judge of the competition was the chief specialist of the department of educational and sports activities in the universities of the Committee for Physical Education and Sport, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Candidate Master of Sports Ivan Zaharchuk.
The competition was held on the Olympic system: the lottery system in which the participant is eliminated from the tournament after the first loss (on the basis of a single game or a series of several games between the two parties - it allows you to uniquely identify a standout).
"In the game of checkers students develop systems thinking, analysis and miscalculation of the situation, the ability to find solutions to various problems and, of course, logic, - says Director of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of IAPM Miron Ilnitsky. - Now, with development of computer technology, the concept of drafts and in general "table" games increasingly loses its value and nominal. However, checkers fans continue to play these games, but with computer, and not as before, in a friendly company. The manner of the game changed, but its terms and conditions has remained. However, most importantly, students still have the desire to play checkers, and we, the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of IAPM, comprehensively promote this game".
Therefore, results of the IAPM Championship in checkers among students, workers, and their families were distributed as follows:
Among the students:
- I place was taken by Nikita Nikolaev, student of Economics and Law College at IAPM;
- II place was taken by Dmitry Bazilenko, a student of Vladimir the Great Institute of Law;
- at the III place - Denis Larionov, student of Aliev Azerbaijani-Ukrainian Institute of Social Sciences and Self-government.
Among the girls-students:
- I place was taken by Vitavska Marina, student of Aliev Azerbaijani-Ukrainian Institute of Social Sciences and Self-government;
- II place - Karina Salomennikova, student of Economics and Law College at IAPM;
- at the III place - Alina Danyluk, student of College of Economics and Law at IAPM.
Among the teachers and thier family members:
- I place was taken by a senior competitor, teacher AIDP Valery lived;
- II place was taken by the youngest competitor Askold Shchekin.
- The best team was recognized as Team of Economics and Law College at IAPM.
