On October 24, 2024, as part of the meeting of the Scientific and Methodological Council, a scientific and practical seminar with training elements was held on “The development of teachers' pedagogical skills, their general culture, the creation of motivation and conditions for professional improvement at the Khmelnytsky Institute of the MAUP.”

Vladimir Anatoliyovych Prints (psychiatrist; medical psychologist; psychotherapist; lecturer at the Department of Psychology).
The purpose of the seminar was to improve the professional competence of teachers, develop new pedagogical approaches aimed at improving the quality of the educational process, and discuss ways to motivate and create favorable conditions for continuous professional growth.
The main topics of the seminar were:
– modern approaches to the development of teachers' pedagogical skills;
– the importance of the teacher's general culture in the educational process;
– forming motivation for professional self-development;
– creating favorable conditions for professional improvement;
– the role of self-reflection in the professional development of teachers;
– the method of biosuggestive therapy (restoring psychological comfort and well-being).
The relevance of the problem of psychological adaptation of scientific and pedagogical workers and students in wartime is determined by the escalation of the Russian-Ukrainian war and its impact on the mental state of participants in the educational process.
The Khmelnytsky Institute of the MAUP is actively working on methods of psychological adaptation to stressful working and learning conditions associated with combat operations. A scientific and practical seminar for teachers included a session of biosuggestive therapy conducted by Prince Volodymyr Anatoliyovych (psychiatrist; medical psychologist; psychotherapist; lecturer at the Department of Psychology).
The pedagogical skills of a teacher include not only in-depth knowledge of the discipline he or she teaches, but also the ability to communicate effectively with students, apply innovative approaches to teaching, and create a motivating environment. This is the ability to integrate new technologies into the learning process, stimulate critical thinking in students, and promote their personal development.
One of the main aspects of teaching skills is the ability to adapt teaching methods to the individual needs of students. Each student has their own learning characteristics, and the teacher must be flexible in their approach, helping each student to reach their full potential. To do this, pedagogical skills must be constantly improved, which requires the teacher to be open to new knowledge and self-reflection.
A teacher's general culture is not just about erudition and education. It includes ethical values, moral aspects, and the ability to be an example for students. A teacher with a high level of general culture educates not only professionals but also individuals capable of making conscious choices, respecting others, and acting with civic responsibility.
The ability to create an atmosphere of trust, openness, and cooperation are important components of general culture, which contributes to successful interaction in the educational environment.
Motivation for professional growth is the driving force behind change in the educational environment. An important task for educational institutions is to create conditions that encourage teachers to pursue self-education and professional growth.
Teachers should feel responsible for the quality of their work and understand that their professional growth directly affects the quality of students' education. Self-improvement is a continuous process that requires effort, but at the same time brings satisfaction and professional fulfillment.
