December 11, in Severodonetsk Institute of IAPM was held a round table on "Actual problems of the threat of terrorism in modern society".

The purpose of the round table was development of students and pupils outlook on the science of law, particularly on key issues of terrorism threat in modern society.

The round table was attended by the institute administration, teachers and students of the department "Jurisprudence", senior pupils of secondary school №10 of Severodonetsk. As a guest Ruslan Tkachuk was invited - Head of military-civilian administration in villages Trohizbenka, Lobacheva, Lopaskyne, Kryakovka and Orehovo-Donetsk of Lugansk region.

Professor of administrative law of IPA Kravtsova E.O. opened the roundtable. She noted that topic chosen for discussion is most urgent.

"This should be treated with understanding, because the question is not in physical destruction of a single terrorist or organization, we need to understand the roots of this phenomenon, reasons why in the modern world we still have conservation hierarchy, control of individual nations, some social and cultural systems and as a reaction for it - threat of use of such weapons as terrorism", - said the director of the Institute of Severodonetsk of IAPM. Special attention in the report Kravtsova E.O. paid to the history of terrorism and its classification.

Actually vision was expressed by Assistant Professor of Law Kravchenko I.M. In his view, terrorism as a form of armed struggle or information is asymmetric, with the conviction of terrorists, it is the most effective form of resistance not just as modern warfare, which characterized by including mystical component. This phenomenon is spreading and gaining credibility and a significant number of people dissatisfied with life, unhappy, unfulfilled individuals, where social relations, political regimes, traditional values ​​do not give the person chance to self-actualise. However, government policies counter terrorism as not effective enough, because there are a number of problems in the functioning of the anti-terrorist structures and imperfections of current legislation.

  6. Yepifantsev V. Terrorism, the Convention on the fight against terrorism, the fight against money laundering and terrorist financing.
  7. Key issues aroused lively roundtable discussion among the participants.

Summing up the meeting, director thanked visitors for interesting ideas, which was expressed on the issue of threat of terrorism in modern society.
