Students of IAPM with children
Every year on the Christmas Eve, students and employees of the Interregional Academy of Personnel hold charity events, among them there are such as fundraising, neccessary clothing and toys for children from orphanages.
On Philanthropy Day (14 December) Student Council of IAPM launched charity campaign named "Heart of children." Taking two boxes, colored and transparent, the activists went to the institutes of the Academy. To join the fundraising and contribute in a good thing one should acquire donor-heart postcard, on which it was necessary to write his name. Funds were thrown in a transparent box, and cards - in a colored one. The action was attended by about 500 participants from institutes of the Academy. All the cards were placed in the wall newspapers in the Student Council of ШФЩЬ and then the wall newspapers hung around the Academy. Due to the funds collected by organizers it was bought the necessary things for children from orphanage №1 of service for children affair of KSCA. Beside of fundraising, everybody who cares could bring to the department of extracurricular work their clothes, toys, books, stationery on a week (14-18 December) in order organizers might donated them to the orphanage. Also students of Economics and Law college of AIDP and Desnyanskiy Economics and Law college of AIDP joined gathering things.
"The main purpose of the charity event "The heart of children" was raising money to purchase necessities for children from the orphanage. Regarding educational moment, the action aims to form students' values, humanistic, social and spiritual guidance. Speaking more globally, the aim of such actions in higher education in Ukraine is the revival of the charity as a norm of social life "- said the director of extracurricular work of IAPM Valentine Slisarenko.
December 22, having all the gifts, philanthropists of the Academy went to the orphanage. Students and workers from IAPM expected for meeting with kids in a Academy large assembly hall. Sincere views of children who entered the room immediately penetrated the soul of everyone. At the beginning of the holiday little kids showed a concert for guests. They presented the students with their New Year's musical show based on the famous fairy tale "The Snow Queen". During a theatrical performance the children danced, sang and opened their hearts. All guests supported the young actors with applause and sang the song that was familiar to all. At that moment there was a lot of emotions in the hall: happiness on the faces of the children, the sincerity and goodwill of the students, it was felt real parental warmth and care of workers.
In the second part of the celebrations MAUP people prepared for children funny Christmas competitions, including riddles, dances, games with balloons, forfeits, games for attentiveness and more. Each child received sweet prizes and soft toys for their participation. During the games it was heard warm words and children's laughterin the hall. In the air there was aroma of chocolates, New Year's atmosphere bestowed a sense of kindness and love to the children. Also vocalists from Academy sang Christmas songs to kids and the children made a circled celebratory dance. At the end students presented sweet gifts to children and created amazing photos to remember this special day for all life.
