In IAPM was held the round table "The alternative vision of history"

March 3, Aliev Ukrainian-Azerbaijan Institute of Social Sciences and Self-government held a round table discussion "The alternative vision of history: the way of conflict or the first step to a consensus in Ukraine".

The event was attended by students, graduate students and professors of the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management, Kiev National Taras Shevchenko University, National University of "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy", Drahomanov National Pedagogical University and Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture.

At the beginning of the meeting the Acting Rector of IAPM Nikolai Kurko welcomed everyone with an introduction, that the roundtable topic is relevant for scientists, who are interested in point of view of representatives of the generation, which was born in the time of Independence.

"The basis of our asceticism, thanks to our members, we call in such a was the format of our discussion club, became the moral and ideological reference point on the upbringing and education of young people and establishment of cultural and personal interaction between individuals. The world improvement can be achieved only through the improvement of people: those who want to change the world, must first change themselves", - said the director of Aliev Ukrainian-Azerbaijan University of Social Sciences and Self-government Ivan Bidzyura.

During the discussion, students and scholars discussed the following topics:

  • Historical memory of the West and the East of Ukraine.
  • History of the independent Ukraine, its evaluation: where was the start and what were results society transformation process.
  • European values ​​and Ukrainian reality.
  • Possible options for the ideology of unification of Ukraine.
  • Challenges of globalization: what answers can give the Ukrainian government and the Ukrainian society?
  • The geopolitical position of present-day Ukraine.

It was interesting to discuss the report of post-graduate students of the Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University Yaroslav Teleshuna on the effectiveness of public policy in Ukraine and Yulia Demchuk, who expressed her own vision of strategy of Ukraine, noting that partnership strategy is the most successful.

The roundtable was held in the context of the theme of research work of the Sociology and social work department "Sociological aspects of the problem of formation of a political nation in Ukraine".
