The twentieth International Tournament in freestyle, Greco-Roman and women's wrestling occurred in the Sports Palace

13-14 February the XX International Tournament in freestyle, Greco-Roman and women's wrestling was held, it was dedicated to outstanding fighters and trainers.

One of the largest international tournament that gathers the strongest fighters from all over the world during 20 years has returned to Kiev. Interregional Academy of Personnel Management sponsored the competition. The tournament has become even more representative, because from now on Kiev's carpets are all three types of control: free, female and Greco-Roman. Geography of the  tournament also impressed as the competition got teams from 22 countries: Austria, Azerbaijan, Algeria, Belarus, Brazil, Armenia, Great Britain, Guatemala, Greece, Georgia, Estonia, Israel, Iran, Canada, Cuba, Lithuania, Moldova, Russia Slovakia, the US, Hungary and Finland.

The holiday of fighting succeeded exactly , as at the opening day and Sunday the tribunes of Sports Palace were filled. At first time the tournament was held under the new rules and the final battle looked extremely spectacular. The drums reinforced an atmosphere of competition, in which fighters appeared in public during the finals.

Ukrainian fighters were not disappointed and eventually won 50 medals, including 17 gold, 13 silver and 20 bronze medals. This and "miners" medals were distributed almost evenly - 17 medals were won by representatives of freestyle wrestling in men and women, while representatives of the Greco-Roman style won 16 medals.

Among Ukrainian winners during Kiev fighting tournament there were Tatyana Kit, Angelina Lisak, Alina edifice, Julia Havaldzhy, Julia Tkach, Alla Cherkasova, Basil Shuptar Semyon Radulov, Valery Andreytseva, Andrew Kwiatkowski, Ibrahim Aldatov, Alain Zasyeyev, Dimitri Timchenko, Denis Demyanko, Dmitry Pyshkov Alexander Chernetskyy and student of the Interregional Academy of personnel management Jean Belenyuk.

During the ceremony the competitors were welcomed by the Minister of Youth and Sport Igor Zhdanov, head of the Parliamentary Committee on Family, Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism Arthur Ward, Deputy Minister - Chief of Staff Nikolai Danevych, vice president of the National Olympic Committee Mykola Tomenko and Vladimir Brynzak, the president of wrestling in Ukraine Elbrus Tedeyev.
