"Shevchenko. 200 Years of Solitude" was shown in the concert hall "Ukraine"

March 10,  the documentary film "Shevchenko. 200 Years of Solitude" was shown in the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management in memory of the outstanding Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko.

At the beginning the Head of extracurricular activities of IAPM Valentine Slisarenko said to students:

"You all know that in Ukraine is decided to honor the memory of Taras Shevchenko in early March. Today we offer you to see the tape, which was taken by Inter TV channel to the 200th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko. The authors of the film tried to look at this outstanding personality in terms of specialists from different fields in order to unravel the phenomenon of Taras. If it was possible or not - decide by yourselves".

The documentary film "Shevchenko. 200 Years of Solitude" has created a studio "07 Production", "Inter". Project leaders - Anna Gomonay and Sergey Dorofeev, directors - Vladimir Nikolaets and Oksana Strutinskaya, director of photography - Sergei Lukyanets and Vikentiy Klauning. The tape consists of two parallel lines: the biographical and non-fiction. Experts in the film: literary expert, shevchenkoved, anthropologist, graphologist, psychoanalyst and other specialists. The film features the letters and manuscripts of Shevchenko, written in the crucial moments of his life, photographs, self-portraits and portraits of the poet. In addition, the authors of the film tried to recreate important events of the great poet's life through the reconstruction of the individual fragments. Extraordinary spirit of the era is referred in the film: costumes, hairstyles, traditions - as it was in the middle of the nineteenth century. The unique reconstructions were played by professional actors. According to the authors, most documentaries on Shevchenko - a list of official facts of his life, however, "200 Years of Solitude" tells about something that is not found in any biographical book.

Chief director of the film Vladimir Nikolaets aimed to show the portrait of an unknown Poet:

"We are familiar with the image, which is removed as the mask of copies".
