Interregional Academy of Personnel Management

5 May in Odessa Institute of the Academy the celebrations dedicated to the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation (8 May) and the Day of victory over the Nazis in World War II (May 9) took place. Celebrations was opened by the Deputy Director of the Institute Volyansky V.V. who told the students about the causes and consequences of the Second World War, of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, the dramatic fate of the Ukrainian people in these difficult times. Today, Ukraine is trying to defend its independence, territorial integrity and European elections in a new, undeclared, "hybrid war". The current slogan these days - "We Remember. We win. 1939-1945" - was posted on the bulletin board in the small conference hall of the SNT. 

Teachers of Institute told exciting stories of their families associated with the Second World War. Students recited poems in Ukrainian and Russian languages, heard poems about the war and the victory of World War II of veteran of Nikolai Elchaninov - the first head of the Department of Law of the Odessa Institute, Ph.D., Associate professor, Professor of the ICA, the ex-chairman of the district court in Odessa. He is about 90 years now, after a long illness he can not speak and does not go out, but the institute will remember his work and his verses on military themes.

At a ceremony veteran ATO was invited, the doctor-pathologist, Head of the Pathology Department of the Odessa City Hospital № 3, in combination - teacher Nechitailo Igor Ivanovich. He talked about his time in the war zone, the death and injury of friends about the terrible minutes, and the hope of victory and peace. Igor creates beautiful poetry, dramatic poetry, sometimes - shocking, deep, sometimes - mystical.

Participants lighted a memory candle. The celebrations ended with a moment of silence for the victims and deceased veterans and defenders of Ukraine. We remember and we will win!
