Deputy Minister of Education and Science met students of Universities
December 21 the First Deputy Minister of Education and Science Inna Sovun met with representatives of the student government of universities of Ukraine. The meeting was attended by the chairman of the Student Council of IAPM Dmitry Zubritskiy.
At the beginning of the event Inna Sovun noted:
"When we were preparing the law "On Higher Education", we tried to write rules that would allow us to stimulate development of student government. Because we understand that reform of higher education requires the participation of each of you. After all, it's no doubt, that important players in management and educational process is you - students".
During the meeting they discussed functioning of student self-government, in particular its role in improving the educational process, the rights of students in the sample subjects. Executive Director of the analytical center «CEDOS» Yegor Stadnyj presented the study about the sample subjects in Ukrainian universities.
During the meeting there were put many questions to the Deputy Minister, regarding both the educational process and the actual problems of the students.
