The second stage of Kiev chess Cup "Crystal Boat"
March 19 Interregional Academy of Personnel Management hosted the second stage of Kiev mayor chess Cup "Crystal Boat" in Holoseievski district of Kyiv among school students in the 2015-2016 academic year.
More than 150 students of Holoseievski district took part in it. The official part of the opening began in the concert hall "Ukraine" at IAPM.
"We are honored to welcome the color of our nation in the walls of the Academy - young players of Holoseievski district, who have won competitions in their schools and will fight for a place to take part in the final competition" - began the triumph the chief judge of the competition, referee of the national category, candidate master of sports, the main specialist of the Department of educational and sports activities of the Committee for physical education and sport, Ministry of education and science of Ukraine Ivan Zaharchuk.
Young sportsmen of the capital were congratulated:
- Alexei Trofimov - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of the KSCA,
- Oksana Vozovik - President Kiev Chess Federation, International Grandmaster Chess;
- Sergey Beletsky - Head of the Department of Youth and Sports in Holoseievski district state administration in Kyiv;
- Artur Frolov - Vice-President of the Chess Federation of Kiev, Grandmaster Chess;
- Miron Ilnitsky - Director of Physical Education and Sports Department of AIDP;
- Andrew Bolyak - Assistant to the Rector of Boris Grinchenko Kiev University;
- Sergey Bobrovnik - Head of the Kiev city branch of the Committee for Physical Education and Sport.
Competitions are held separately among boys and girls in the individual competition in three age groups: grades 1-4, grades 5-9, grades 10-11 as of 01.09.2015 year. Judges of the competition saw different styles of chess, skilled defense, deliberate effective attack, intelligent and balanced exchange of figures.
"We are opening the seventh time in the tournament "Crystal Boat". The purpose of the Cup is to promote chess among students, increasing skills and qualifications of young players in Kiev. Chess develops intellect and logical thinking, help to improve memory and independent decision-making. It is so wonderful that parents bring their children in institutions and instill love for most intelligent sport", - noted international grandmaster chess Oksana Vozovik.
Therefore, results of the second stage of the Cup distributed as follows:
Category Grades 1-4 (girls):
1st place - Varcara Romaniuk (school 87);
2nd place - Vitalina Kasyanchuk (school 15);
3rd place - Anastasia Cherevan (school 286).
Category Grades 1-4 (boys):
1st place - Dmitry Perets (school 179.);
2nd place - Roman Grinchak (school 241);
3rd place - Alexander Kornienko (school 110).
Category Grades 5-9 (girls):
1st place - Hope Vilinskaya (school 269);
2nd place - Love Vilinskaya (school 26);
3rd place - Victoria Evsevska (school 59).
Category Grades 5-9 (boys):
1st place - Anatoliy Sofiychuk (school 21);
2nd place - Kirill Volotovsky (school 92);
3rd place - Anton Marinich (school 108).
Category 10-11 (women):
1st place - Angela Bondarchuk (school 260);
2nd place - Kseniya Tkachuk (school 269);
3rd place - Yulia Zaporozhets (school 236 wk.).
Category 10-11 (boys):
1st place - Victor Samosyuk (school 241);
2nd place - Yun Cun Kai (school 85);
3rd place - Nikita Kulagin (school 132).
After the awards ceremony Ivan Zaharchuk handed diplomas of Holosiivski district administration, medals, trophies, IAPM books to all participants, and noted that the second phase of the seventh tournament has become one of the most numerous among all the Kiev city. He also said:
"According to preliminary information, the final stage of the Cup will be held in two parts. The first part - the competition on the Swiss system in each age category, in which 30-40 participants winning districts will take part. In the second stage students will compete for 8 places".
It is known (prior information), that the leadership of the Department of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Kyiv City State Administration has proposed the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management to carry out the first part of the final stage.
