A festival of wisdom, good and knowledge at the IAPM

This year, 3 thousand teeners received their first student identity card at one of the most prestigious tertiary institutions of Ukraine.
The Knowledge Day festival began, according to Academy’s good tradition, with a solemn public prayer by St. George the Victory Bearer chapel. The special service was broadcast on the Knowledge Square, where freshmen lined up under the standards of their respective institutes. Doctor of Theology father Dionysius addressed the audience with a prayer that the Almighty grant reason and moral courage. He wished scientific growth and creative inspiration to those who teach and those who learn.
High guests – representatives of political, scientific, artistic, and sports elites of Ukraine – visited the Academy as they do it every year on this festive occasion.
Among the guests were:
Elbrus Soslanovych Tedeev – Olympic champion, national deputy of Ukraine;
Andriy Mykhailovych Tyshchenko – director of the public relations department of the Verkhovna Rada, Presidential Administration;
Mykhailo Fedorovych Honcharenko – Head of the State Inspection of Educational Establishments of Ukraine;
Oleksandr Yosypovych Saiko – major general of internal service, PhD in Law, head of the department of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine in the city of Kyiv and Kyiv region;
Taras Oleksandrovych Protsenko – police major general, doctor of law, professor, acting head of the State Research Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine;
Mykola Petrovych Metiukha – doctor of philosophy, professor, member of the Higher Education Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, head of a unit of the Institute of Legislation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine;
Kostiantyn Ivanovych Beliakov – doctor of law, professor, deputy head of the Research Center of the National Academy of Legal Sciences;
Nadia Lavrentiivna Pukas – executive director of the League of Social Workers of Ukraine;
Mykola Ivanovych Anufriev – doctor of law, honored jurist of Ukraine, honorary Chancellor of the International Personnel Academy;
Ireni Oleksiivna Merleni – honored master of sports, multiple European and world champion, Athens-2004 Olympic freestyle wrestling champion;
Oleksandr Dmytrovych Spirko – all-round world professional boxing champion.
Representatives of the diplomatic corps from foreign countries were invited as distinguished guests, among them:
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Ukraine Ulukbek Kozhomzharovich Chinaliev;
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Palestine to Ukraine Mohammed Al-Asaad;
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Syrian Arab Republic to Ukraine Mohamed Said Akil;
First secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria to Ukraine Veselin Uzunov;
Third secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Ukraine Ruslan Gurbanov;
Cultural attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan to Ukraine Parviz Nazarzoda;
Attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq to Ukraine Ziad H. Al-Ubeid;
Press office chief of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq to Ukraine Kassem Khuder.
During the grand ceremony, Chairman of the Academy’s Supervisory Board, honored education worker of Ukraine, doctor of sociological sciences, Professor George Shchokin, along with national deputy Elbrus Tedeev, presented a symbolic student card to the freshmen and congratulated everybody on the beginning of the new academic year.
Students of teaching and educational complex “Prestige” also congratulated them. Students of the Desnianskyi Economic and Legal Training College under the IAPM took the floor to say a word of salutation, having wished academic achievements and creative inspiration to everybody.
In conclusion, of the festival, IAPM’s student anthem “Vivat Academia!” performed by music workshop “Academia” sounded solemnly and touchingly as ever.
“I was told that people here are well taught, and the teachers are very good. The place clicked with me immediately when I first came here,” – IAPM’s freshman Anton Aviuskyi imparted his impressions.
It also was a cheering news that children of Ukrainian stage stars choose the Academy as well. Thus, daughter of well-known Ukrainian singer Dmytro Klimashenko desired to study at the IAPM: “Today my daughter entered this establishment; it’s a great occasion for me,” – Dmytro shared his joy.
