Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary at IAPM
On October 14, the entire Orthodox world celebrates the feast of the Protection of the Blessed Virgin. Already traditionally in the walls of the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management there were celebrations for the Third Pure.
The celebration began near the chapel of St. George the Winner. The Doctor of Theology, Father Dionysius, read a solemn prayer for Ukraine and the Academy, for her students and employees.
After the introduction of the flag of Ukraine, the flags of the International Personnel Academy and the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management on the square of Knowledge and the implementation of the Ukrainian anthem, the guests were welcomed by the rector Nikolai Kurko:
- The Virgin is our patron saint. We always turn to her and say: protect us. The Holy Protection of the Blessed Virgin celebrates the entire Orthodox world. We also celebrate each year with us at the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management. Cover - a holiday, which was founded in the X century. I want to wish everybody good health, inspiration, and let the Holy Protection protect you always.
Vice-rector on scientific and educational work of IAPM Mykola Holovaty also congratulated those present on the holiday:
- The Holy Virgin since ancient times was considered patron of the Cossacks, warriors, as well as students.
Students demonstrated their talents: Sofia Ablova with the song "My Ukraine", Oleksandr Usenko performed the song "Drove Cossacks" and Irina Skuratova - "One Kalyna".
From ancient times, the Ukrainian Cossacks considered the Mother of God to be their patron saint, so true Ukrainian Cossacks came to the IAUP for the festive events. Artists of the Equestrian theater "Ukrainian Cossacks" created an unforgettable action on the Znovy Square. Their performance was marked by bright numbers and extreme tricks. Cossacks in red trousers demonstrated skilled horseback riding, perfect possession of weapons and whips.
