IAPM student - bronze champion in athletics!
Student of IAPM Igor Glavan got personal bronze medal and team silver in the Championship World Athletics.
Recently in Rome hosted the first ever team championship of race walking world. Our student Igor Glavan, won a historic bronze medal in the individual competition, having a distance of 50 kilometers in 3:44:02. According to Igor, he was gradually catch up with the tactics of the leaders. Despite the fact that our competitor has started not too fast, he managed to finish third, behind silver medalist Jared Tallent and winner Alex Schwarzer.
"For the first time in my life I cried after the finish, - says Igor. - I'm waiting for this third place. Going to the competition, I was prepared for 50 km instead of 20 km. I went with a dream to win a medal, and when finished, the emotions went wild. I saw a photo from the finish - it was very emotional".
In the team standings at the distance of 50 km Ukrainian team took the second place, received silver for Ukraine!
As for future plans, the next commercial launch is scheduled in La Coruna, it will be held in three weeks.
