Ecology
The Academy publicly declares its commitment to preserve our planet for future generations. We understand that climate change is a real threat and we want to do our part to fight it.
On June 4, 2021, the Academy proudly announced its ambition to achieve net zero in its activities and adopted the Net Zero Declaration, under which it commits to reducing its Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions to zero by 2030.
The Academy plans to achieve this through a number of measures, including:
- Switching to renewable energy sources for powering our campus;
- Installation of energy efficient systems in our buildings;
- Reducing emissions from our transport;
- Investing in research and development of new technologies that will help us reduce our impact on the environment.
The Academy believes that the upcoming achievement is an important step in our commitment to be a responsible and sustainable institution of higher education. The Academy continues to work to reduce our impact on the environment, and we encourage others to join us in the fight against climate change.
To achieve its established carbon reduction target of reducing Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions to zero by 2030, the Academy has been making steady progress and, as of 2025, has already reduced these emissions by more than five times (from 2627,527 tCO₂e to 545,735 tCO₂e ).
In accordance with the above-mentioned position, the Academy reports to the responsible state authorities on the current state of emissions (nitrogen oxide, carbon monoxide and cadrbon dioxide) and publishes relevant reports in accordance with the Codifier of pollutants emitted.
