According to the Order "On the creation of a structural subdivision of the Institute of Law named after of Prince Volodymyr the Great Student Legal and Consulting Center "Central Legal Clinic" No. 7/1-0 dated January 19, 2007 issued by the rector of MAUP M.F. Student legal and consulting center "Central Legal Clinic" was created by Golovat.

The head of the student legal consultation center "central legal clinic" is Viktoriya Yuriivna Krupei. In 1998, Krupei V.Yu graduated from the National Law Academy named after Yaroslav the Wise, majoring in "Jurisprudence" and qualified as a lawyer. She worked in the internal affairs bodies of Ukraine, taught legal disciplines at the Kharkiv State Polytechnic University, the Kyiv State Academy of Water Transport, and the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management. The operation of the Legal Clinic is regulated by the current legislation of Ukraine, in particular: the Law of Ukraine "On Higher Education" (from July 1, 2014 No. 1556-VII), decisions, orders and orders of the governing bodies and relevant officials of the Academy, the Statute of the Academy and other normative acts of the Academy , the program for ensuring the quality of education at PJSC "Interregional Academy of Personnel Management", and the regulations on the student legal consultation center "Central Legal Clinic", internal acts of the legal clinic and other regulatory acts.
The legal clinic performs educational and social functions. The educational function is the leading one - it is the concentration of activities on the practical direction of education, with the aim of training legal specialists who have mastered specific professional skills and do not need additional adaptation to professional activities.
The social function of the legal clinic is to meet society's needs for accessible legal information and legal assistance, and to increase the professional responsibility of lawyers.
The legal clinic was created with the aim of consolidating students' technical knowledge and acquiring practical abilities and skills of the legal profession. Forming their respect for the principles of law, increasing the level of legal culture of the population, as well as providing free legal assistance to persons who need it
The main tasks of the Legal Clinic are::
- acquisition of practical skills of the legal profession by students;
- creation of places for students to undergo educational and other types of practice;
- provision of free legal aid to low-income citizens;
- holding events on legal education of the population;
- ensuring the possibility of communication between students during the educational process with specialists-practitioners of judicial and law enforcement bodies, other state bodies and local self-government bodies on issues of their activities;
- creation of an effective information exchange mechanism between the population, the mass media and the legal clinic, which will allow prompt response to the practical problems of citizens.
According to the purpose and tasks of the legal clinic, for its full and effective functioning, the management of the institute and the legal clinic organizes and ensures:
- conducting theoretical and practical classes related to the activities of the legal clinic;
- carrying out reception and counseling of socially vulnerable sections of the population;
- working with legal documents;
- organization and management of records;
- conducting scientific and practical activities on current legal issues;
- generalization of case management practice by law clinic students;
- cooperation with other legal clinics of higher educational institutions of Ukraine.
