The course "Principles of business management, developing a marketing plan, controlling risk, obtaining financing for local farmers" is designed to provide farmers with practical knowledge and skills that will help them to successfully develop their business. This course covers the main aspects of management, including planning, organisation, motivation and control. It teaches you how to create marketing strategies to promote your products on the market; examine the risks that can affect a farm business, including weather conditions, economic fluctuations and legislative changes; covers sources of finance available to farmers, such as bank loans, government grants and investment programmes; and analyses sources of finance available to farmers, such as bank loans, government grants and investment programmes.

Structure of the training course "Principles of business management, developing a marketing plan, controlling risk, obtaining financing for local farmers":

Module 1: Fundamentals of business management: functions and roles of a manager. Leadership in agribusiness.

Module 2: Strategic planning: goals and objectives of the farm. Resource management: human, financial, material.

Module 3: Introduction to marketing: concepts, principles, role in agriculture. Market analysis: research of demand, competitors and trends.

Module 4: Pricing policy: determining and managing product prices. Promotion strategies: traditional and digital marketing methods.

Module 5: Creating a unique selling proposition for farm products.

Module 6: Crisis management and contingency planning. Identification of risks in farming business: financial, production, environmental.

Module 7: Legal aspects: protection of property rights and legal issues. The role of insurance in the agricultural sector.

Module 8: Sources of financing: equity, loans, investments, grants. Preparation of financial forecasts and profitability analysis.

Module 9: How to apply for a loan or grant. Negotiations with investors: preparing for meetings and presentations.

Module 10: Presenting a business plan.

Twice a year: from February to April and from September to November, the Institute of Adult Education offers the course “Principles of business management, developing a marketing plan, controlling risk, obtaining financing for local farmers”. The courses are held on Mondays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.. This 10-weekly course ends with a presentation of your project.
