The task of the department is to train specialists in the field of knowledge D «Business, administration and law», specialty D3 «Management» by educational levels:
Education at the first level is carried out in the specialty D3 «Management» (educational program «Management»).
The educational program is focused on training competent competitive specialists capable of solving complex specialized problems and practical problems, which are characterized by complexity and uncertainty of conditions in the field of management in accordance with the mission and values of PJSC «HEI «Interregional Academy of Personnel Management.
The program is aimed at obtaining the necessary amount of knowledge and practical skills by students, which combines management flexibility with deep knowledge of modern business processes, namely:
The program focuses on the development of a project approach to management, including the ability to initiate, develop and implement startups and innovative business projects using strategic analysis, business analytics and digital technology tools.
Students acquire the competence of strategic thinking, learn to formulate business ideas, make investment decisions and organize socially responsible business that meets the challenges of sustainable development and economic transformation.
The program also forms economic independence of thinking: applicants are able to identify economic problems in management, make forecasts, plan and optimize management decisions, using modern methods of analysis and decision-making.
Practical orientation is implemented through project tasks, business simulations and modeling of management situations, which prepares graduates for real activities in a competitive business environment.
The second master's level in the specialty D3 «Management» is represented by the educational program «Management».
The purpose of SPP is to train highly qualified, competitive specialists capable of identifying and solving complex and unpredictable professional tasks, applying acquired knowledge and skills, carrying out innovative activities in the field of management, in accordance with the mission and values of PJSC «HEI «Interregional Academy of Personnel Management»
The program reveals the basic foundations of the training of management specialists, taking into account the peculiarities and priorities of the functioning of organizations in various spheres of activity in the modern changing environment, provides for the acquisition of knowledge on the theory of strategic and tactical management of the development of organizations, the peculiarities of the professional activity of specialists in the field of business management, as a basis for ensuring the successful development of enterprises. Successful completion of the program involves the acquisition of fundamental and professionally oriented knowledge and skills, the ability to identify and solve complex problems and problems in the field of management and business or in the learning process, which involve conducting research and/or implementing innovations and are characterized by uncertainty of conditions and requirements.
Features of the study and professional program are: Innovative orientation, which comprises the formation of students' ability to commercialize an intellectual product through the use of innovative entrepreneurship tools, which ensures the competitiveness of graduates in the conditions of the knowledge economy and startup culture.
The program focuses on the development of strategic thinking and the ability to manage changes in conditions of uncertainty, using modern methods of strategic management, analytics and digital technologies in the management of organizational development.
Graduates of the program are able to generate, develop and commercialize innovative ideas using business modeling tools (Lean Canvas, Value Proposal Design, business acceleration), which contributes to the creation and scaling of their own projects.
Training is focused on the practical implementation of project management skills, including resource, time, risk, and quality management, which allows the implementation of innovative and strategic initiatives at enterprises of various forms of ownership.
• The third (educational and scientific) level of education is represented by the program for training higher education applicants for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the specialty «Economics». Postgraduate students of full-time and part-time forms of education study at the department.
The purpose of the study and scientific program «Economics" is to train highly qualified, competitive, integrated into the world scientific and educational space specialists of the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the field of social and behavioral sciences in the specialty 051 «Economics», who have theoretical knowledge, abilities, skills and other competences sufficient for the production of new ideas in the field of economic sciences, solving complex tasks, mastering the methodology of scientific and pedagogical activities, as well as conducting own scientific research the results of which have scientific novelty, theoretical and practical significance.
Peculiarity of the SSP «Economy»:
• focus of SSP – deep theoretical knowledge, understanding of modern problems of economic development, ability to develop the latest economic concepts, mastery of economic research methodology, methods of statistical analysis, economic-mathematical modeling and modern IT technologies for economic research, which ensures a unique synergistic effect of postgraduate training;
• SSP teachers and scientific supervisors of graduate students are highly qualified scientific and pedagogical workers of the Academy;
• professional disciplines are author's, correspond to modern achievements of economic science and practice;
• the possibility of choosing disciplines to ensure the effective implementation of individual research projects of graduate students is provided.
History
The Department was set up on September 1, 1999 as the Department of Economics. In 2019, it was renamed the Department of Economics and Business Management.
The task of the department is to train students of higher education at the first (bachelor's), second (master's) and third (educational and scientific) levels of higher education, who study full-time, part-time and distance learning.
The first head of the department was Valentina Vasylivna Osokina, candidate of economic sciences, professor of the International Personnel Academy. Since 2005 – Nataliya Andriivna Malysh, candidate of economic sciences, professor, since 2006 - Gennadiy Pavlovich Kryvoborodenko, doctor of economic sciences, professor, since 2010 - Alla Ivanivna Kozlova, candidate of economic sciences, senior researcher, professor of the International Personnel Academy. Since 2018 - Safonova Vira Evgeniivna, doctor of economic sciences, professor of the International Personnel Academy. Since September 2019 - Alla Ivanivna Kozlova, deputy head of the department, candidate of economic sciences, senior researcher, professor of International Personnel Academy. From January 2021 – Yakushyk Ivan Davydovych, doctor of economic sciences, professor, director of ESIMEB MAUP.
Since January 2022, the department has been headed by Bratus Hanna Anatoliivna, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, professor of the International Personnel Academy. Bratus is the author of a number of scientific and educational materials. She has more than 10 years of experience in scientific, managerial and teaching work. He is the author of more than 80 publications, including monographs, training manuals, scientific articles and methodological developments.
In 2005, Bratus graduated from the M. Tugan-Baranovskyi Donetsk State University of Economics and Trade, majoring in «Enterprise Economics» and obtained a master's degree in enterprise economics.
In 2014, she defended her candidate's thesis in the specialty of economics and enterprise management (by types of economic activity) and was awarded the degree of candidate of economic sciences.
In 2019, she was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor of the Department of Finance, Banking and Insurance.
In 2020, she defended her doctoral thesis in the specialty of economics and management of the national economy and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Economic Sciences.
Since 2014, Bratus G.A., worked at the Academy as Deputy Director-dean of ESIMEB. In 2022, she was elected to the position of Head of the Department of Economics and Business Management of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Management, Economics and Business.
The main directions of scientific work are aimed at forming the scientific and applied foundation of the strategy and tactics of sustainable socio-economic development, new systematic solutions of a tactical and programmatic nature to strengthen the competitiveness of the economy using modern methodological tools. Scientific developments are largely worked on: substantiation of the components of the system of scientific and technical development of the economy and its role in the formation of intellectual property; research, development and information support of mathematical models of the system organization of economic processes and management of components of the financial system.
The Department Staff
The teaching staff of the Department of Business Management consists of specialists with sufficient practical and scientific work experience. The department employs 8 teachers, of whom 3 have the scientific degree of Doctor of Economic Sciences and 7 of them have the scientific degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences.
4 part-time employees who have the scientific degree of candidate of economic sciences are involved in the teaching of professionally oriented disciplines, practitioners who actively combine scientific work with practical activities are also invited on a permanent basis, which gives students the opportunity to acquire scientific and practical knowledge and skills.
Scientific and methodical work of the department
The scientific research of the department is conducted in accordance with the topic of research work «Adaptive models of business management in the conditions of digital transformation and post-war recovery of the economy of Ukraine».
The teachers of the department conduct active scientific activities and participate in international and all-Ukrainian scientific conferences. The results of teachers' research are published in scientific publications indexed by scientometric databases Scopus, Web of Science, as well as in leading professional publications and monographs.
Students and postgraduates who carry out their applied research under the supervision of the department are involved in scientific work. Research results are presented at numerous scientific and practical conferences and seminars. On the regular basis are hold «Round tables» of scientific and practical conferences with the involvement of teachers of the department. The department successfully operates student scientific circles «Innovative methods of business management» and «Modern economic theory».
The scientific work of students of higher education majoring in D3 «Management» is reflected in diploma (master's) works, speeches at scientific and practical conferences, round tables and seminars.
